At Black Ankle Vineyards, they strive to produce wines that express the land on which they are grown, enhance the food which they accompany, and most important of all, are a joy to drink.
From the beginning, they strived to make wines from grapes sustainably grown on their land just north of Mount Airy in Maryland.
They credit the right mix of rolling hills, rocky, low-fertility soils, regular breezes, sunshine, and rain for their delicious wines.
Each of their approximately 150,000 vines is hand-tended several times per season to make small adjustments to crop load, leaf density, and fruit position, as they do their best to showcase their 142-acre farm in each bottle.
Join us in the Lounge to taste their wines and hear more of their story.
